Twas the night before the press release (we hoped) at the OFC And each fan was excited and sharing some “EEEEEE!” And I in my Clay “T” and my fellow Clay fans Were speculating, and hoping, for our cue to make plans. Some thought September was when the release date would be While others said October’s best—avoiding Mayer and JT. Several members said an August date (is that too soon?) would be heaven And a few, worn out from waiting, direly predicted 2007. When what to our half-crazed eyes should appear But a new Clay blog – could it be? OMG he’s here! Away to his blog page we all flew in a flurry, Clicked on “view blog entries,” speed reading, oh hurry! Did he tell us? What’s the single? Will he tour? When’s the release? Thousands of eyes darted wildly, then, oh no! He’s such a tease! Just a hint—the title had been correctly guessed. But what is it? Will he tell us or leave us hanging? What a mess! For hours we dithered, excited, and bouncing off walls. Come back Clay! Don’t leave us hanging. Don’t stall! Then the stealthy, sneaky man posted three short lines –what fun! A scavenger hunt, to clayandr’s blog -- we have a title! It’s begun! So now we wait for more -- will it be hours or just a few days? Still, one thing is now official—that I love Clay a thousand different ways.
