I like so many of you waited for Clay to blog .. anticipating news of the CD and future appearances and tour.. then when he did..I have to be honest ..I took me my complete surprise..I don't know why I didn't expect something about UNICEF and the Lebanon crises.. that just showed me how shallow and selfish I must be.. and it opened my eyes so wide to the world around me.. not just my little safe corner in this world but all corners of the world..don't get me wrong when ever there is a crises in this world and UNICEF or other agencies need help I am always there.. I give weekly to UNICEF since the earthquake in Ache then Katrina and now the war in Lebanon ..but for some stupid reason .. which now as I look back.. is beyond me why I didn't expect something from Clay.. after all he is Mr. Ambassador to Unicef..but my mind was so focused on his CD and the release of it. I just happened to click on his blog when it popped up.. and I started to read it an as I read a terrible saddness came over me..and I realised how narrowed minded I had been how selfish ..and it hurt..I reread his blog over and over each time I cried more. Here was a man who stopped everything around him and was aking us for help..asking us to do what we could..if anything..donations and prayers were so badly needed..the children were the upmost importance to him .. not his CD..not his tour.. not his appearances.. nothing took priority over the children..and he was so right...I immediately went to the site and made a donation..then he blogs again..with the special link.. no to single out the claymates or himself.. but to prove to Unicef and other just how amazing and wonderful his fans were..just how big and huge our hearts were when it came to helping others in need..this is something I had seen time and time again on all the Clay fan boards..helping each other in need and being there for support of not only Clay but of each other..I knew this fan base was exceptional..very exceptional..and I knew in my heart what we could do if we pull together and support a cause..the children...then when he blogged again with the first figures.. it absolutely overwhelemed me..we were now Mr.Ambassadors ...Ambassadors the wheels were churning..we had a purpose an open goal..we had something in our hands that we could actually make a differnece for..we had the power to make things better ..to help or just to pray and support..by helping to support UNICEF we are helping to support something near and dear to Clay's heart as well as it should be to ours..and it felt good..very good..

Clay you makes us proud every day..now it's our turn to make you proud of us...we are a refection of you after all..and we do take great pride in that..for someone so young and new to all this.you definately are wiser than you years and have a heart that is wide open....you have opened my eyes,heart and soul..you make me proud to be fan..I don't think there is an explaination as to why you attract and draw so many devoted and dedicated fans to you..I don't think you even understand it..but we know one thing for sure ...You are indeed a Very Special Man..
