Wow, I can't believe it's been 4 months since I blogged. Not that it hasn't been an interesting summer or anything, but it has been rather Clayless, so not very exciting. Things are picking up though!

First we got the CD release date and a bunch of us will be getting together in Toronto on the 23rd of September for the Party. Since many of us are scattered throughout Ontario, it's a little tough to make it on the 18/19th, which is midweek, so the Saturday date worked better for the majority of us.

Next we got the single of "Without You" (sigh!) and the 30 second snippets of the rest of the songs from the album. Wow, this is going to be a honey of a CD! Every single song is a treasure and I can't wait to hear each one in it's entirety. So far my favourites are "Everything I Have" and "Here You Come Again". I think it's pretty ironic that just after I saw Clay on AI5 I commented in his blog that his appearance made me think of that very song, especially the line "Looking better than a body has the right to.." If he saw the comment (Yeah, sure, Bev!) he must have had a chuckle over it.

When we got word of the Christmas concert in Williamsport, I was invited to attend with 5 of my Claynadian buddies, so we will be leaving here pretty early on the 9th of December and travelling back the next day on the 10th. I am so excited to be seeing Clay in the flesh...I can't believe how much I've missed him this year. There will be lots of TV appearances in the fall, I'm sure, but it's not quite the same as seeing him on stage right in front of you....breathing the same air...SIGH!

So, all in all, I've enjoyed the summer with my grandkids spending many days here with me while their mom and dad were working, but this year I'm really looking forward to the fall and winter...that has got to be a first for me!!
