There is a somber mood afoot at some places regarding the "love songs" theme. I understand it but I thought I'd bring a bit of levity here. There was mention of "Love songs Through the Ages" which brought this up in my demented mind.

It made me think of those awful KTEL album commercials. You know, those godawful Roger Whitaker jobs where he's taking on every genre by everyone? And then there's that ghastly manic running commentary to boot? Well, here it is folks: Clay Aiken Sings About Love from Time Immemorial!

"Buh-buh-buh-boooo"- Clay sings Der Bingle!

"Lay Lady Lay, lay across my big brass bed"- Clay sings Dylan! (I'd go for that one!)

"When I'm calling youooooooooo"- Clay sings Nelson Eddy AND Jeannette McDonald!

"Leise flehen meine Lieder..."- Clay warbles Schubert!

"You are so beautiful, to me..."- Clay spazzes out like Joe Cocker!

"Maria......"- Clay IS Tony from West Side Story!

"Dangita dang, bombita bom, dip dip dip dip"- Clay slays with Blue Moon!

"Vincera, vincera, vinceraaaaaaaaa!" - Aiken reinvents Puccini!

"If I like-a you and you like-a me and we like-a both the saaaame!" Clay is born to sing "Under the Bamboo Tree"!

"She walks like an angel, talks like an angel"- Elvis reincarnated!

"When the moon in the sky's like a big pizza pie, that's Amore"! - Move over Dean!

"Ah'm flushed in the bathroom of your heart.." - Aiken is the next man in black!

"It's Hard Bein' a Pimp!" - Aiken reinvents Oscar classics!

And so forth. I don't know about y'all , but this girl needed a laugh today, so much so, that I even cackled evilly while reading "Git 'R" Done" by Larry the Cable Guy- the most disgusting, politically incorrect guy around- no wait, Howard Stern tops him on that one. But if you want to have a guilty pleasure and release some stress- I recommend along with Clay's "The Kite Runner", Larry's "Git 'R' Done!"
