The Special Angel Bear named Olivia

01/28/06

Who do YOU think is going to adopt you? Your arm is almost torn off!

Olivia Bear heard these words at least 5 times that day after the accident.

Olivia Bear was one of the teddy bears who lived in the big toy store in New York City. She was so happy the day before the twins Noah and Isaiah came into the store and fought over her and tore her arm almost completely off.

When Mrs. Taylor the mother of the twins noticed that the twins had damaged Olivia, she did not offer to pay for Olivia, she stuffed her in the back of the other bears on the shelf and quickly left the store with the twins.

The next day the people at the toy store were very excited because Clay Aiken would be visiting the store that day to purchase toys for the children at one of the hospitals in the New York area.

When Clay arrived at the store he was greeted by the owner of the store. Clay informed the owner that he did not need any special assistance.

Clay went up and down the aisles selecting toys, and games that he was sure the children would enjoy.

When Clay arrived at the section where the teddy bears were he selected several bears. When Clay spotted Olivia he picked her up and held her close to him. Clay gently placed her on top of the cart full of toys and games.

When it was time to pay for the purchases, the manager looked at the torn teddy bear and told Clay, “Mr. Aiken, I will be happy to get you another bear that is not torn.” Clay insisted that he wanted that particular teddy bear.

Once the purchases were made Clay did not allow Olivia to be placed in a bag, he carried her out of the store in his arms.

Clay told Olivia that he would get her arm fixed and he also told Olivia that he would keep her with him forever.

Olivia thanked Clay. Clay was so shocked to hear Olivia talk. Olivia told Clay that she was a special angel bear. She told Clay that special angel bears only talk to people who have kind hearts and gentle spirits. Olivia also informed Clay that she had heard his music played over the loudspeakers at the toy store and she prayed that one day he would adopt her. Olivia’s dream came true.

When you attend Clay’s concerts and you notice a teddy bear on stage, it will be Olivia, Clay’s special angel teddy bear.
