I am absolutely amazed at all the things Clay Aiken has gotten me into over the last two years. Take blogging for example ... six months ago I had to look up the definition of blogging to make sure I understood what they were for. So here it is, 3:21 AM and I am writing my first blog journal entry ever!

Speaking of firsts, I purchased airline tickets this week to fly to Manchester, NH: Destination CLAY Aiken Jukebox Tour! I haven't even averaged one pop/rock concert a year in my own city let alone FLYING to go to a concert(s). I've never even been to the east coast before so I'm excited about that, including changing planes in Newark, NJ. If you wonder why I'm excited about that it's because I'm hoping to be able to see NYC from the air.

Other firsts ... joining a fan club, hosting a CD Release Party where you have no idea who your guests are going to be, taking road trips with people you've never met before and scheduling last year's vacation to Montana to coincide with Clay's opening concert in Bismarck, ND. By the way Clay, I still have the personalized boxer shorts from the Austin Claymates I was going to give you there. Should I bring them along this time?

My 85 year old mother thinks you're the bees' knees. I'm still in shock that she is paying my way to go to the concerts. Her comment was, "you'll be changing my diapers for the next 10 years so you better go now while you still can". Mom rocks!
