I must rant and let off steam today! My Dell laptop, which I love dearly, needs ANOTHER new hard drive, ugh! This will be #3 and it's only 18 months old!!!

The first one that went was under warranty, but it's expired-the hard drive that just went was only 6 months old...I'm not happy about this and don't understand why I keep having these problems. I run NOrton, spybot and adaware. And I have firewalls. I don't bang the computer around or let the kids touch it.

Grrr...thankfully, after losing EVERYTHING in the last crash, I learned to burn stuff to disc, so I lost little and it's replacable. But, I have to get it up and going again before the JBT! I'll have to re load Windows and everything.

I will never buy another Dell laptop again, nor will I ever buy another hard drive for it-if the new one does not last, that's it.

Are the Mac Powerbooks more durable??? I know that is what Clay uses (judging from pics we've seen) and I"m wondering if it has a better record of durability? I know they cost more $.
