I see it's been a while since I blogged. I could say that I've been busy, and that would absolutely be true, but then, I've always been busy, given I work every day of the week and have since January 2001.

No, the real reason I haven't blogged is that I really haven't had a lot to say. The truth is, I had grown kind of sick of my own yammering, so I could only imagine how others who weren't me were feeling about it. So I decided to just shut up already...not only here, but on the boards as well. And that's what I've done.

Life is a bitch sometimes, and the best we can do is just to accept that and live through it. There will always be those more fortunate than yourself, but by the same token, there will always be those whose lives are much, much more difficult. (And sometimes you can't even tell the difference.)

So it seems to me that the best thing to do is to be grateful for those blessings you do have and to quit whining about what you don't, because it doesn't make you or anyone else any happier or better off. Just the opposite, in fact.

Thanks to everyone for caring enough to wonder where the heck I've been, and to the person who commented that I should take my name off the blog list if I don't want to blog: They don't let you do that here. I know, because I tried.
