Welcome back!

09/14/06

Wow. I love what they've done with the place -- the colors, the clean lines, the...pic of Clay on the opening page. Woo HOO and Lookie LOO!! I was going to make some totally inappropriate remark about inseams and such, but I'm trying desperately to keep Rude at bay. Seriously, I really like the pics -- MUCH better than Excedrin Headache Clay, who always made me feel as though I wanted to offer him a cool cloth.

Anyway, right now I'm watching a repeat of the season finale of The Office. I'm telling you, Jim and Pam are truly one of the sweetest things on Teevy today. They're the equivalent of fluffy little puppies with bows rolling around in flowers and clover, that's how cute they are.

And Michael? I used to have a boss like Michael, only not quite so cheerful. The day he interviewed me, he sat there, bragging about how up-to-date the company's technology was, all the while clicking back and forth between windows on his computer. I'm pretty sure he had no idea that I knew that he didn't have a clue what he was doing, but thought he was impressing me with his mad computer skillz. Later on, I found out that he was infamous for messing up his computer on a regular basis, so badly that the folks in the IT Department would run the other way when they saw him coming.

On the day of that first interview, he endorsed the company by boldly stating the following: "And they're really easy to work for here. You can do pretty much anything, because they never fire anyone. Seriously, I could shoot a customer and they wouldn't fire me!"

Two years later, they fired him...and he didn't even have to shoot anybody. Imagine that.

Anyway, be sure to watch The Office, which will return next Thursday evening on NBC. I guarantee you'll laugh. Well, unless you don't, in which case, don't blame me.

OK, I'll write something more interesting later, when I'm not quite so sleepy. It didn't show, did it??

Whaddya mean, "No more than usual"??
