“A photograph is neither taken nor seized by force. It offers itself up. It is the photo that takes you.” Author: Henri Cartier-Bresson

This quote goes well with the pix I took yesterday. I was just playing with the kids at work and had my camera around my neck, (as usual)…when I glimpsed their hands like this.

They were playing a clapping game and while the game was cute, the position of their hands together struck me and I just started shooting. The kids are used to me and didn’t miss a beat in their game, which I loved.

The word that comes to mind seeing these shots is connection. This group of kids was a mix from kindergarten to 6th graders, and it always makes me smile when they play all together, not caring that some are younger, older, don’t get it or whatever.

To relate this blog …to something Aiken: I’ve been reading a little about TBAF on the message boards, and it seems like that is part of their mission as well, to have children be able to ‘play all together’. I think that this is an admirable cause and I hope they have much success with all their endeavors.

As always, feel free to stop by my photoblog. Dragonfly Chasing
