It's been a long time......
....since I updated this.
And since I don't have to get up for work in the morning, I thought I'd take a few minutes to do so.
We held out "First Ever" Not-A-Gala this past Saturday night at the Inne of the Abingtons in Northeastern PA. It was a great time and we raised $3900 in donations for the Foundation. :)
We planned the entire event in less than six weeks. We had a buffet dinner, a speaker, a D.J., a silent auction, raffles, and a charity casino with 76 attendees.
We have such a great team of people here in our area that really worked together to make it all happen. It's amazing what you can do when you are determined to make it happen.
We are considering making it an annual event.
It was so much fun...but gosh, it sucked the dear life out of me. It's going to take me another week at a minimum to recover.
Overall, I've been feeling good, just constantly fatigued. At this point, I'm not sure if the fatigue is coming from the stress of all the planning and work or whether its the medication. Right now, I just can't tell.
The hot flashes are still as awful as they were...but I think I'm learning to live with them.
Friday, I will have a colonoscopy. They tell me there is a very high correlation between breast cancer and colon cancer and that NE PA has one of the highest rates of colon cancer in the country. Sooooo, once this is over and if it all comes out good...I think I'll be home free. :)
I recently had another mammogram and there appeared to be no problems....soooooo, I am now just happily awaiting the birth of my first grandchild--a boy. His name will be Richie--after my dad. :)
and I am dealing with ticket stress just like the rest of the entire Claynation. Why does it have to be so stressful? Why isn't there an easier way?
But he is sooo worth it.
Can't wait till summer. :)
