Happy Thanksgiving

11/22/07

Grrrrr... I had this nice thoughtful blog written and the site didn't post it. Oh well. Let us start again.

Happy thanksgiving. I hope it was a wonderful holiday for all 5 that read this blog. Heck, I can probably even name by name but I won't embarass y'all.

There is so much to be thankful for. I'm thankful for knowing Jesus. I'm thankful for my family. I'm thankful my home and my parents' home is still satnding after the fires last month.

In other news, appearantly there is yet another storm heading toward Asia. It is Philippines and VietNam this time that will be effected. In Bangladesh it seems they still are healing from the huge disaster. It is sort of disheartening there isn't much intesrest in the media since they get storms a bit, but I would think over 3000 dead and tens of thousands being effected would be news. It has had some coverage but not as much as the tsunami a couple years ago in Banda Ache (spelling?). Oh well. The weather has gone mental this year. I mean there were the fires. In Europe they had the tidal surf stuff. There were the fires here. Now there are fires in New Mexico. Mother nature is kinda miffed man.

It was chilly here today at 65F. :) OK, so it isn't mid-20s like my hometown. Speaking of cool places (anyone that says WI is not cool is just jealous of Cheeseheadland), Packers are now 11-1. They convincingly beat Carolina Sunday. Then, today, they beat the Lions. I mean the 4th quarter was sloppy and they are lucky they won after squanering their lead by dumb defense mistakes, but they won anyway. Favre has now a whole slew of records. Go Packers!

Also, I see winners of the story contest need to be all goth and wear black. I am wondering if I need to get black slacks then. I have a black shirt but no black slacks. Then again, I won't win. You will see why in a week or so when I post my yarn here in this blog. Plus, I have been labeled a security threat so I am not holding my breath. I may need the slacks anyway for my first days of work. I already have 2 phone interviews for a job based on my credentials. So hopefully this does mean it is a replay of April where they were lining up around the block to hire me. The awful place I was pretty much was a non name place so it may not tarnish my career after all. This is since my experience prior is with a couple big deal companies that saw I do have competence.

Anyway, to the 5 that read, Happy Thanksgiving. I hope your holiday was good. Be careful if you are shopping tomorrow.
