Busy busy busy

03/05/07

Things are hectic these days. With both jobs(which I love), church things like ALPHA, committee meetings or choir, or family things, like my nephews cub scout ceremonies, my nieces brownie activites, time with the inlaws, checking on my grandmother and my mother and both brothers every now and then since I never get home any more, well, it seems there isn't much time left these days.

But with all that, hubby and I are trying to start a family of our own. I never realized how stressful starting a family could be.
We have strongly considered adoption as an option. I know there are other options too.

We are also attempting to purchase a home. We have been renting since, well, since I moved to Raleigh back in July of '99.

To add to all the craziness my father in law still has not found work since he lost his job last month. Brian and I help when we can, but with our other issues, there is only so much we can do.

Anyway....to break our usual routine, Saturday night we went downtown to a fundraiser. It was tons of fun. We both really enjoyed it.

I am getting excited about the end of the month for the BAF Gala downtown. Not sure how great a seat I will have since I got a bronze ticket. Which means I eat befoer I go or after. Couldn't afford a ticket that included the meal.

Am hoping to find someone here that is also going to the Gala. WOuld love a ride. Couldn't afford a ticket for hubby and don't want to make him drive me downtown to just pick me up later. Some might say, that's what hubbys are for, but I know he would much rather be eating dinner with his family that night rather than sitting around waiting for me to call for a ride. Then again he may be busy that night repairing computers and unable to pick me up. He does that occassionally.

Other than all that, not much has been going on. I went to a beautiful funeral service last week. The young lady was 17 years old and had been fighting leukemia for 4 years. Very wonderful, very sweet and much loved by many.

Guess thats all for now.
