I feel so awkward asking for this, but I am in need of some prayers and/or good positive thoughts.

I had surgery yesterday, Wednesday. I guess it is considered minor, I don't really know. I do know that the pain was very very major.

The surgery is a bunion removal. On the plus side, it is on my left foot, so when I am up for it, I will be able to drive.

I will have my husband with me. Well, he will be there at the hospital to drive me home aferwards.

I am terrified though. Even though I will have him there with me, I could really use my mom. However, while I am in a N Raleigh hospital, she will be in High Point having surgery and my younger brother will be taking care of her. I do not know what kind of surgery she is having. She won't tell me, probably knowing I will worry about her instead of wanting to take care of myself.

It just feels like an I want my mommy moment.

So prayers for both me and my mom would be wonderful.

Just a brief update. Got home about 4. Took longer to wake up after the sugery than the surgery itself. Still very tired. Had to take a pain pill with my 4pm breakfast/lunch salad.

Keeping my foot elevated and iced. So far very little pain. The medicine from the hospital hasn't yet worn off. For those praying all went well, and continue to, thank you so so much. Will need continued prayers Have only been home 2 hours and already suffering cabin fever.

Will update after another nap.

Woke up this mong at 12:30 , 4:30 and 8:30 to take the pain pill as I was told to do. Pain in the rear end to wake up and take meds then, but on the plus side, I have not begun to feel any pain from the surgery.
