Tomorrow is the annual Hanging of the Greens service at church.

I am really looking forward to it. I always have since I began attending this church.

One of the songs we(the choir) are singing is O Holy Night. There is one note at the second ending, a high G. Oh my word....I hit the note dead on this morning at rehearsal. Hope I can hit it tomorrow night.

For the most part sopranos sing as one. There are a few places where wwe split into firsts and seconds.

This year I have opted to sing as a second soprano in those spots. One, because, the high G's and other notes don't come as easily as they used to.
Two, I just love a challenge and learning and singing other parts.

You know, I would really love to be able to hit all the high notes I used to hit. I should still have them, shouldn't I?

What I need or rather, what I would like is voice lessons to strengthen and/or broaden my range to what it used to be.

That may be what I ask for from Santa this year.
