Raleigh Christmas parade

11/18/06

I got to watch it on tv this morning. Was going to go with sis-in-law and neice and nephew.

When I called her to make plans, I did more sneezing and coughing than I did talking. When I did talk, I sounded froggy. Could barely muster a whisper.

She suggested, betyween my sneezes, that Iit might be better if I stayed home and watched it on tv. Brian agreed with her when I shared the conversation with him.

So I thought I'd sleep in alittle bit, wake up late fix breakfast and watch the parade snuggled under a blanket on the sofa.

Well, sleeping in for me this morning was waking up at 6:30AM. Couldn't get back to slep. So I fixed a pot pf coffee and watched infomercials until 7. Then watched Paula Dean. After Paula Dean, I fell asleep for a little while.

Finally the parade was on.
It was fun to watch all the people in the crowd. And the floats and marching bands.

The biggest downside to watching the parade on tv is commercial breaks. But I guess that worked out, 'cause the commercial breaks gave me a chance to throw tissues away and refill my cofee cup.

I am getting fed up with not feeling well. Guess I learned my lesson. Next year will get a flu shot, as long as there is no shortage.
