Since I first heard of her passing, I have been in a haze. A kind of mental block.

Where I did not know her personally, my grandparents were great friends with Billy and Ruth until their passing. Nana died in 1993, Granddaddy 9 months later in '94. I attended college with one of their grandsons.

They were friends and neighbors too. My grandparents built a house in Montreat in 1974, the year my older brother, their first grandchild, was born. It is just down the street from the Grahams home.

Billy and Granddaddy used to preach together. When we were little, in the winter time, we would gather our sleds walk to the top of that street and sled all the way down. It was so much fun.

I have been thinking since yesterday of attending tomorrows public service. It is only about a 4 hour drive from here. Hubby probably has things to do though tomorrow and I really didn't want to have to go alone.

Hoping I will find a way up there tomorrow, if not I was planning to go in a couple weeks anyway. It's just a matter of finding an affordable place to stay. An aunt and unccle are now living in my grandparents house, but I can't get in touch with them.

I'm so sorry. I am just aimlessly rambling.
