Santa...came to work Monday. We took the kids out of the room, and into the lobby/parent check in area where Santa was sitting in his chair. I took them 2 or 3 at a time and they sat with Santa, shared what they wanted for Christmas, had their picture taken, then I sent them back to the room/classroom.

Most of them loved it and did a great job. Only 2 or 3, shyed away, clawing at me to move because they couldn't get away from Santa fast enough. It was so pitiful.

But just to be there and a part of that when that was the first Santa lap time some of them had ever had, it was just so very sweet and special.

So, tonight I had a couple things going. I was at dress rehearsal for a Christmas play I am in this weekend. Enough said on that. My 7 year old nephew was in the second grade Christmas/holiday production titled How the Penguins Saved Christmas.

I had been planning on attending his play for weeks now. But dress rehearsal fell at the same time. Nothing I could do about it. Brother in law recorded nephew though, so all is well.

My nephew was one of the many penguins in his play.
Last year he was Little Boy Blue. The year before that he was a reindeer.

Time to go perfect cues and entrances. Will write again after this busy busy weekend is over with.
