While everyone is still discussing the Emmanuel performance in Council Bluffs, I just wanted to share just how incredibly special Emmanuel was to me.

I have been waiting for this show the most of the tour. Its in my home state, we had front row center and my husband was coming with me I had seen 3 of the first 4 shows and was totally entranced by the show. How could it get any better? I was just looking forward to more of the incredible show!

We had no idea something was wrong. But the moment Clay and Angela started setting up for their singing in the second act, my first thought, where is Jacob? Then OMG, Clay is going to sing Emmanuel! Then, my thought no, that would be too wonderful, don't get your hopes up. I sat there just enthralled with the beauty as Clay's performance always grows with each show. I also had running through my mind, Laura if he sings Emmanuel and you mess up the video your friends and all of Claynation are going to kill you!!! I remembered a recent interview where Clay said his favorite was Emmanuel and remember thinking that is very kind of him to let Jacob sing that song (Jacob does a beautiful job). And I thought, he won't not let that song be sung, if he loves it, he already knows it and can probably just sing it.

I had talked to Scarlett and I know her style so if she is there, she can get wonderful wide screen shots so I go for the zoomed in facial expressions.

When I heard the first note of Emmanuel I was just shaking and told myself you HAVE to hold still. The gal next to me had not see the show yet so she didn't know how special this was. I was trying to contain myself but luckily the OMG at the beginning are quiet.

The nuances and beauty of Clay singing this song were just exquisite. The tears were just streaming down our faces. I just sat there with my hand on my heart, camera as still as possible. I mouthed thank you, I think Quiana saw me, and I hope they all knew our appreciation at that moment for the beauty of the song.

At the end of the song, I said to my friend, you don't know how lucky we are Clay normally doesn't sing that song...I just had chills, there aren't words in the English language to describe how we felt at that moment.

At the end I found Scarlett and we both said, did you get it, did you get it?? Also immediately write-protected those tapes!! We knew these were watershed videos for Clay and they had to be safe!!

Thank you Clay for an incredible performance and to Clay, Quiana and Anglea for holding it together under difficult circumstances. You are all class acts and gave us all an incredible performance to be cherished.

PS. My husband loved the show. But, sadly he hurt his back when he tried to sit in those straight chairs they had on the floor, so he found a seat in the more supportive seats in the back (one of the pitfalls of being tall with bad knees for him ). I felt so bad. But he loved it and will be watching the videos and enjoying along with me.
