The CALWFDF is rockin’ today because we are planning a Halloween party! Ideas are running rampant. TPTB here at the institution…I mean residence said we could invite guests, and our RSVP’s are coming in quickly. All of us are so excited about seeing some new faces because we are totally sick of each other. I borrowed MJ’s laptop to clue you all in on the plans. Our costumes: MJ is dressing up as a “lady of the evening.” She says she needs the money for a new hard drive. Yeah, sure, MJ. Canuck’s costume is pretty weird. I mean who has ever heard of someone going as a garage door? She says it will be festooned with remotes hanging from the chestal area. We are all humoring her and telling her how unique it is. Personally, I think she’s daffy. Desertflower has decided on going as Madonna. She likes her song, “Like a Virgin.” We keep telling her to wear something else besides white. Anything besides white. We are sooooo sick of white. But she is insisting. I don’t think she’s going to win Most Original Costume. Hockeydonna is wearing a hockey jersey. She always wants to wear hockey jerseys. I was hoping for a big, red rocket, but she says that’s too overdone. Yeah, and a hockey jersey isn’t? Oh, man, she’s quite the nutcase. Dudley has her costume all picked out, too. She’ll be sporting a conservative business suit accentuated with a pink bra. On the outside of the suit. We keep trying to tell her that the bra goes under the suit, but she keeps muttering something about Clive. I think they should increase her meds. Our guest list is extensive. So many are anxious to join us here at the CALWFDF for our party. One of the first to respond was dancermom. She tells us that she’s dressing as a Turtle with purdy pink ballet shoes on her feet. I’m kinda skeered of Turtles, but she assures me that she’s not bringing a real turtle. I hope she’s not a liar, liar, pants on fire. Caro is coming as Lois Lane, roving reporter. We’re hoping she’s very careful about what she reports concerning this party for various reasons. Toni and fifty are wearing their cheerleader outfits. They promise to lead us in a rousing cheer at the stroke of midnight. Queensmum is bringing the wine. She won’t tell us what she’s wearing, but I’m sure she will be dressed respectfully since she is the “voice of reason.” snerk We’ll see how reasonable she is after a few glasses of the vino. xxx4clay won’t tell us what she is wearing either. She keeps saying she’ll just imitate someone and we’ll have to guess who it is. We’re hoping to hear from the rest of the guest list soon. I have a feeling that some of our guests just might be a little more than “guests” if you get my drift. I think the guards are busy assigning rooms. And me? I’m going as Mallory. Off to plan the games. I’m thinking a fun one to play might be Where’s Waldo.
