I am Funkless

01/03/06

No funk for me. No siree!

Some Clay fans are saying that they are in a Clay funk right now, but I’m not one of them. I sympathize with them and understand completely how they might feel, but I’m really just fine with Clay’s “recess.”

You see, I think he’s buy as all get out right now. He’s probably in the studio finishing up what needs to be finished up for the new CD, finalizing the publicity push, and taking meetings with all sorts of people. Maybe he’s lining up photo shoots and picking out new clothes to wear during his appearances on all the TV shows he’ll be on. (Clay, we want tight PANTS tm canuck).

I can see him working on finally deciding on what is going to go on that CD and having some battles with TPTB at RCA over what’s included. I think he’s probably working on talking points for interviews and how he’s going to present the “narrative” in an “organic” fashion. waves to Dudley.

Oh, man, just thinking about my multi-tasking boyfriend is turning me on big time. I love a busy man.

And as for me, I’m just fine with some time to organize my life a bit. I have tons of Clack that I haven’t even downloaded yet, much less watched. I have a hard drive to clean off in preparation for the new CD, and I do have a life, contrary to popular opinion, cause I’m such a postho! Hee! I have a digital camera that has an instruction booklet which I need to seriously actually…you know…read. And I want to teach myself some Photoshop, read our book for our book forum at CV, read a few books that I have been neglecting, and just prepare myself for the onslaught that is sure to come soon. Oh, and I also have to try to teach my students a thing or two. Heh.

So, since I always did love recess, I’m not complaining about this one at all. Come spring, I’ll be ready for Rock Stah Clay in all of his considerable glory. Bring it on, Clay.
