7 Beau & Me & Buddy & Whitney!

Easter dinner was held at my house. Family plus 3 dogs! Puppy Buddy, the beagle/Jack Russell was back. Heavens! He makes it to the door now but still doesn't quite "get it!" (Note to self--buy more paper towels!)Enter Whitney, my niece's 5 lb. Yorkie. Beau was in awe of her and she didn't like his 80 lb bulk. As a matter of fact she didn't like either of the other two as she likes to be numero uno. She wanted nothing to do with a puppy who wanted to play, play, play or Beau who was just to big for her liking so she yapped at them a lot.

Now Buddy can jump as high as I am tall--he may have beagle ears but he's Jack Russell all the way. It was hard to cook and keep him away from jumping near the stove! I called his daddy to get "Mr. Piddles"--I mean Buddy, who by the way likes my rug for more than just lying on. (Note to self, call the carpet guy).

Bless his heart. Beau is an old man. He found both dogs amusing and annoying. He loved taking a walk with Buddy. Each time the pup picked up an inedible object to examine and chew you could just see Beau's thoughts--"heh, heh,look at him wasting his time, can't eat that!"

I'd recently bought Beau a new fluffy bed because his hips are getting a little "rusty" and he absolutely loves it. When all the company left and those interesting other dogs were out of his fur he flopped on that bed and I swear you could hear a sigh of relief....ahhhhhhh. C'mon Beau, let's listen to some Clay.
