#3 Beau Meets Buddy

01/01/06

Well, hey there!

It's been one hectic and exciting month to say the least. Beau has felt it as well. He kept losing me to the excitement of getting ready for the Columbia and Raleigh concerts. (Both were outstanding!) Then if I wasn't shopping and wrapping, I was on the computer or phone talking about the concerts and videos. I did feel guilty for snubbing my best friend. I tried to make it up to him with extra kisses and snuggles before bedtime and he seemed to be o.k. with that. He's so easy, bless his heart.

We had quite a Norman Rockwell Christmas. Three young children and a puppy were added this year! Now Beau is kind of used to the kids by now but the puppy was very interesting to him. He kept looking at him, sniffing him and licked him a few times. They took a walk together and he still wasn't sure what to make of him. For saftey reasons we separated them on occasion and Beau had this look on his face like "what's up with that?" He'd be on the sun porch looking through the french door windows barking "wassup?" Then just for emphasis he'd press his wet nose on my clean windows. Really smoosh it in. You know, for that emphasis I was talking about. He knew I just washed them! Well, he doesn't do "green" well and I guess I can't blame him. When the holiday was over, the tour ended, the sigh in my heart lifting, I went out and bought him a huge roasted mammoth bone to chew. If a dog could smile with his eyes--he did! Did I say he's so easy? I really do love him, bless his heart!
