Looking at my meager blog entries it is apparent that I only show up to voice some complaint or another. This time I am here to comment on the demise of the message board. (at least for now) Sadly, I suspect that the posters who IMO are responsible for the shut down are not going to learn any valuable lesson here. Also sadly, the mods are getting blamed a lot without consideration for the limits within which they have had to moderate. Here's my take - I have long thought that a message board on the O-fish-ul Fan Club site should be supportive, informative and positive. It should be welcoming and geared to accepting new fans. There are many posters here who do represent that image. There have also been many who represent the opposite. They have not been supportive, informative, positive or welcoming. It is my opinion that those people should go away and post somewhere else. Certainly they are entitled to their opinion, but this is supposed to be a Fan Club, people! It's not a place to argue one on one, not a place to express discontent with Clay and not a place to push your personal agendas. If and when the message board becomes available again it is my hope that everyone who posts on it sticks to the supportive, informative, positive and welcoming attitude that becomes a fan club.
