4 Concert Road Trip

12/09/07

I'm home (sadly) from my 4 concert road trip. I had a GREAT time. I always love seeing everyone, the familiar faces in the audience. Waves to everyone I saw over the last several days.

Clay looked GORGEOUS and sounded GREAT every night. As much as I love his glorious green eyes, I wasn't disappointed that he wore the glasses - to me, he looks handsome and sexy regardless of his glasses, hair, weight, or anything else, I just LOVE looking at him and listening to him - ESPECIALLY live. Also, I did enjoy most of the fan stories.

I stink at recaps, so I'll just write whatever comes to mind.

Wilkes-Barre - Clay and company were great, but I was REALLY frustrated during the first half, feeling that Clay's voice wasn't loud enough and I was straining to hear him - that improved for me in the second half.

After the show - we waited over two hours at the buses, in the c-c-cold. We finally saw Clay walk by quickly, he said "Hey guys", then he was gone onto the bus. Imagine my surprise when we got back to the hotel room to find Clay had been busy blogging from inside the venue while we were waiting outside freezing our behinds off :) He's so cute!!

Obviously the prize of seeing Clay for two seconds as he boards the bus is worth a few hours of standing in the cold to me, because I did so every night I could.

New Brunswick - In MY opinion - this was the best of the 4 shows. Clay's voice was perfect from first note to last, NOT a crack or bauble that I can recall - the accoustics and sound were GREAT in this venue, and I swear I knew or recognized 90% of the audience - that is always fun for me. We couldn't figure out where the buses were, so after the show we left.

Albany - ALMOST as good as the night before, only the accoustics were not quite as amazing in this venue - otherwise, Clay was just as perfect.

After the show, we stood for hours again at the buses, but we never got to see Clay - Jerome snuck him on the "other" bus so quickly that we all missed him.

Poughkeepsie - On the road from Albany to Poughkeepsie, I stopped in some stores, and found some "New York" hoodie sweatshirts, and I just HAD to get one for Clay to celebrate Spamalot. I picked red because I never saw him wearing a red hoodie. I packed it nicely in a gift bag with a card. I hope Clay reads the card, one of the things I wrote was "Clay, your voice is perfect, listening to you sing makes me feel like I'm at home".

This concert was MY personal favorite, because Clay seemed to be looking in our direction most of the show and he was very animated with his adorable facial expressions and smiles - and I just LOVE me some animated smiling Clay.

We did the bus thing again, it was only about an hour until Clay walked by and said "hey guys" then disappeared onto the bus.

I love Clay Aiken, more and more with every passing day, every passing tour, every passing year. He NEVER fails to amaze me, give me chills, and impress me. I can not WAIT to see him again!
