Car Trouble

03/02/09

Well this has been an interesting week. So far I've had a great deal of trouble. Most of it with my blasted car! If yall in Ohio remember that big ice storm we had about a week ago well then you will know the cause of my trouble. See, my car window was frozen shut and I got the brilliant idea to roll it down to get the ice off it. The problem here is the ice was a good two inches thick so clearly the window did not go down. I rolled it back up and shrugged not thinking anything more of it until yesterday. On my way to work I started to play Vanessa Carlton's "A Thousand Miles" and I tried to crack my window. Well, it wasn't really cold, but there was this biting wind so I tried to roll the window back up. It wouldn't go. I tried again. Still nothing. I pulled off the road and tried again and by now I was freaking out. I tried two more times before calling my dad. Who by now was at his parents house. I was so upset I started crying. Dad told me to get to a better reception area and call back. I did and I was telling him I didn't know what was wrong. I hadn't done anything. And in truth I hadn't. I thought for sure the window was cracked and I was dead. (those aren't cheap and I've only had the car for two years) Well, I was leaning on the window and it slipped all the way into the door. By now I was flipping out. I called dad again and told him what happened. He told me to calm down and I did. I tried putting plastic over the window while I was at work. It would have helped to have tape. The window isn't busted thank God. The mechanism that lifts it appears to have slipped off. Me and dad are going to get it fixed tomorrow night after he gets off work. It was not as bad as I thought. Although I can say one thing I never want to drive home on a night that cold again. It was 21 degrees out. I had the heater full blast and I was singing. It was still cold. I was leaning over to get the full effect of the heater. Keep your fingers crossed that we can get this thing fixed without much trouble guys. I'll let you know how it goes. Later all. Remix_girl
