HOLD EVERYTHING and on a sad note

06/23/09

Wait a minute! Hold everything! Sit down and listen up Claymates! This is BIG! I was at Alive this past weekend (ha bet you thought I was gonna dish on Clay didn't you? This is better. Trust me!) and on the last night my favorite band The Newsboys was there. Here's the thing. Peter Fuller is no longer thier lead singer.....wait for it....Michael Tait of DC Talk IS! I'll give you all a moment to put your jaws back together before we start screaming. Okay? Ready? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Can you believe it? Tait! The Michael Tait! And I was there for it!!!! Front row center of the stage. I was so floored I sorta missed the first two songs. They still did "Breakfast" and again wait for it.....Peter Fuller showed up to sing with them. Again I shall wait. We all ready? AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH gasp HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! the last song they did was "Jesus Freak" and I think I about passed out from singing like I did. Not to mention the excsssive screaming and jumping and what not, And in MUD too! That's a theme at Alive. If it rains you will not just have mud you will have the glorious thing called MUCK! You know the kind that adheres to your shoes like concrete and makes that wonderful sucking noise when you try to jump. It gets everywhere and yes indeed you better believe it mud sliding is like an olympic sport here. And the messier the better. Okay now that I have broken the huge news I have some sad business to attend to. Everyone my grandmother has been sick with lung cancer for eight years and this past Thrusday the cancer took her life. It was peaceful, but she was in a lot of pain and I'm sort of glad to see her go. I will miss her terribly, but she's with God in her Heveanly home. She was ready to go and knew where she was going. I know she's up there taking care of us and watching over us. My grandmother has been and always will be an angel to me and to everyone who's life she touched. Please keep my family in your prayers in this time of loss.
