Sometimes Clay appears on news shows. So can he make comments shrewdly? Next time he will appear on the morning show. Does it mean that he is liked by married women like Mr.Yakumaru on Hanamaru Market is? Clay often says that he would like to host a TV talk show like Larry King does. It needs steely mind and is very stressful, I suppose. But he is confident. I don't think I am the only one who think that he will have much difficulty to host because of his enthusiastic fans. The studio will always be filled with more of the host's fans than guests.

After all, the correct answer is that there is no one who has the same stature as Clay in Japan.

In a video right after AI, there were girls who cried, "He looked at me!" Also, many undies were thrown on to the stage!! I was so surprised. Like the Beatles? When I see secret fan videos, I am surprised and bend backwards because of the enormously loud cheering voice. I smile when I hear someone say "Oh! baby"or hear someone sigh. The video is wobbling and is distorted by the back of somebody's sweater. I cannot forget the fan video when he appeared on Good Morning America in September 2006 to promote his album ATDW. The moment he entered the studio, there were terrific cheeers. A wired cry, scream and laughing voices with great guffaws could be heard. Although Clay asked for silence by putting his finger on his lips, they could not help carrying on with the excitement. Oh, I want to join them and scream "eeeeeeeeeee" together in that studio. I could hear the voice sighing "Oh, he is so cute!" by apparently not a very young lady. Exactly....he is cute. You let her say such a comment. Clay, WHO ARE YOU!?

Getting new tenured job, I unexpectedly decided to leave Nagoya and move to Hiroshima from April,2007. So my life became hectic all of a sudden. I had to terminate my current jobs, find quarters in Hiroshima and arrange a shipping agent in such a difficult season (therefore expensive)!

Now I go back to Clay. Clay keeps changing. That is one of his attractive points. The change from past thru to 2006 had been mentioned already. But there is another aspect of his changes. It's a gap between his onstage and private life. I am talking not about his attitudes but his clothes and hair. I have a friend who has changed drastically. Nowadays, my friend "K" is a woman wears chic clothes but 10 years ago, she was a nerdy, square man who took a graduate course.(Yes, K is a transgendered person.) Clay's photos, pre-audition and driver license conjures up in me images of the former K. Not only before audition but the current Clay sometimes makes me wonder "...K?" (Sorry, K!) Does make up skill and dress make a great difference? Is his face suitable for miracles by make up? Not only hair color, his eyelashes sometimes changes color. Anyway, his diversity is interesting. Sometimes he is unapproachable because he is perfectly beautiful.
Moreover, Clay in promotional pictures lack facial expression, I can't feel that it is him. But in many his pictures show him as a normal person with his guard down. A friend of mine is eager to see his photo as "K". In addition, wearing suit, he looks as if he is a decent prince when he talks on TV, but he looks really nerdy and frumpy in private photo. He always wears a hoodie after stage. He walks outside in loose pants or galligaskins and flip-flop. Sometimes he is in tasteless color. Even it is branded clothes like as Burberry, it doesn't work.
