So many things have happened!!!!!!!

07/18/06

ETA: Thank you guys so much for all of your comments!!!

I ADDED ANOTHER BIG E VIDEO BELOW

ETA: OMG!!!!! I just now realized that today,

July 18, was the very first time ever

that I saw Clay live! The AI tour was

at the Hartford Civic Center. Probably

about at this exact same time too!!!

Aaaaaahhhhhh...such memories!!!!

Wow. Haven't been around in a long time. And so much has happened! I've been so busy, and I have like 500 emails to go through! Yes, 500 emails cuz I'm in an email group, and when they reply, they reply to all, so I get everyone's comments, etc. But it's the quickest way to catch up on what's going on! And I've got a lot of catching up to do.

1. THE BIG E VIDEO I PROMISED.

The Big E is the Eastern States Exposition. It is the largest fair around. It combines the New England states - they have a building for each state. They have tons of rides, games, animals, horse shows, booths of whatever, lots of food and concerts there. Clay played there in 2004 for his Solo Tour. You just paid the admission price and then sat all day in line.....if you wanted to sit in the front! Some people camped out! I got there at about 7:30 a.m., and we were about the 20th people in line on the right side. They had 2 lines. The Security guy guaranteed us the first two rows.....yeah, until people who had NOT been waiting in line all day came in the afternoon and CUT IN FRONT OF US!!!! The first few people in line were saving spots or just let their friends in or whatever. I DESPISE people like that. And I know some of the people that cut too. But I won't name names. Anyway, it worked out cuz the majority of the people that cut got stuck on the far right side - HAHA!!! Whereas, because of them, I ended up in the 3rd row, but almost dead center, which is better to me than all the way on the right in the 2nd row! It was FREEZING all day and that night! Until Clay came on stage. Then, of course, we all warmed right up! He came out in that long burgandy coat and a gray turtleneck - woah. I have never seen anyone covered completely from head to toe look so good! I know it must bring back some awesome memories for some of you. If you want to see what I'm talking about, the website is www.thebige.com.

I just checked the site, and it looks like they've put an arena in or something cuz it doesn't look like the same place where Clay was. Where we were had long wooden benches and then in the back were metal bleachers. Then there was a fence around that, and anyone could stand on the sides. I heard it was a record-breaking day they had, and about 7,800 people were at the concert.

Here's a trivia question - Clay only wore that burgandy coat just ONE other time. Do you know when/where?

Here is the video. I picked IWCY. Oops, I just realized right in the beginning, someone is talking to me, so the camera goes off Clay for a bit, sorry! But it has a KILLER close-up ending...

And here is Sweet Baby James from The Big E. I LOVE this song. So here is the clip - short and sweet.

2. July 4.

Went to Ohio for the long weekend. Went to Cedar Point twice and Geauga Lake one day. The first day, we went to Cedar Point, and it was a gorgeous day. Bright and sunny and hot! Headed straight for Millenium Force. Only had to wait in line like a half hour! The park wasn't too packed that day, so it wasn't bad.

The next day we went to Geauga Lake and they have this really cool roller coaster there called X-Flight where you get in the seat, they strap a vest on you and a bar at your feet. Then right before you take off, your seat slowly tilts backwards so you are now laying down! Then you start to go up the hill - backwards, and right when you get to the top, it flips you over so you are "flying" facing the ground! You go through twists and loops and come very close to the ground! It's awesome! I think other amusement parks might have rides like this, but this is the first one I've been on. Totally freaky and cool. We pretty much hit all the coasters, had lunch, then hit the 2 theaters they have...all the way on the complete opposite end of the park. When we came out, it was raining! Not sprinkling, raining pretty good! We waited a bit, but it didn't let up. And it got very cool out. Finally, we gave up and walked through the rain, probably 2 miles, stopped for some Ben & Jerry's soft serve (yup, they have soft serve!) hoping it would let up, but it didn't. So we walked another couple miles out of the park to the car and left. It was already like 2 p.m. by then, and we pretty much hit all the good rides.

The last day, which was July 3, we went back to Cedar Point and it was packed! I heard a worker there say, it was the most crowded day of the year! Figures. And it was pretty cloudy all day and pretty cool out. In the afternoon, it rained a little bit, but then it got sunny...finally. We went on the Top Thrill Dragster, and while waiting in line, one of the cars did NOT make it over the 420 foot tall hill! And it came flying back down BACKWARDS almost just as fast as it takes off! 120 mph! That must've been an awesome ride! Then we got STUCK on Iron Dragon for like a half hour! Just hanging there, all strapped in. That kinda sucked. But a good weekend overall.

3. ATDW.

Well, well, well. We FINALLY have an album title. It's about time!!! Of course, I would have never guessed it, but I got the "A" right at least! So does that mean I get a partial prize? You know, like in the lottery, you get $3 or something if you get one number right? Do I get like a postcard from Clay or anything??? No, no prize? Yeah, didn't think so. But congratulations to Santeyamor!!! Wow! 20 minutes alone with Clay on the phone. I can't even imagine. Only in my dreams...

Now, bring on the tour!!!!! I just

PRAY that Clay still allows us to

use videocameras!!!! If he takes

that away, I don't know what

I'll do! :(

Alright, I've taken up enough of your time. Let me do some catching up, and I'll see ya around!
