I'm typing this on my new laptop. It is a clack machine. Centrino processor, widescreen, dvd burner and video card with dedicated memory. And it only took me 2 hours to get AOL and all that other spam crap uninstalled. Dell somehow has managed to become even more evil however. When anyone in the family gets a new system, I normally just format the harddrive and install a fresh version of Win XP and then install all the drivers off the backup disk.

Apparently Dell has caught on to this quick and easy way of getting rid of their shi-stuff because they no longer ship a backup cd with the laptop unless you pay 10 bucks for it. I was afraid to do a wipe because I wasn't sure if I could find all the necessary drivers online. Yes, I would rather spend 2 hours uninstalling programs then giving them money for something which should be included for free. There are some principles I will never abandon.
