I sadly announce the passing of a dear friend who was a faithful companion during many of my Clayventures (tm Couchie)for the last 2 years. Don't worry--Scarlett's fine. However, my beloved laptop Aeryn finally died. Her hard drive had been making terrible Craggle-like noises for the last few months. More pleasant sounds were produced by Jacob's saxophone. I knew her time was near but nothing could have prepared me for the dreaded "Operating System Not Found" message that flashed on the screen when I tried to boot her up this weekend. Luckily, all my Clack is backed up or on the desktop.

On the diet front, I'm down 7 pounds now. I am really craving rice though. I've eaten rice almost every day of my life. Asking me to give it up is like asking Clay to give up his flip-flops. It can be done but I ain't happy about it.

Now I'm off to price new laptops. Thank goodness for 0% financing.
