Surprises Can Be a Good Thing

08/25/07

I had to post a few more pics from the Tampa concert. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the show. When I first heard it was "an orchestra show" I was thinking it would be difficult to perform many uptempo songs. I have not been online, so I didn't know the set list or anything about the show beforehand. My favorite part was the "cool songs" medley in the second set. What a suprise! I had no idea an orchestra could even play some of those songs. It was so entertaining! One of the things I love about Clay is his great sense of humor. I liked the TV set in the first half, too, though I have to admit I had no clue about the lyrics for most of them. I'm not a "TV Snob" or anything, I just don't watch TV much. I spend a lot of my time with my hobbies - photography and music, and playing computer games with my son (while he still wants me to). Another highlight for me was hearing Clay perform "Lover All Alone." It is my favorite song from the new material.

I have heard that Clay's Christmas tour is not coming to Florida, so I am thinking I will try to go to the closest one (DC). It is a lot more difficult for me to travel these days, but perhaps it will work out.

Here's a link to my Tampa album: Clay Aiken - Tampa, FL - August 17, 2007.
