yay for Pokey Sticks and Scrubs

04/21/07

Ahhh....nothing like a mini-Scrubs-a-thon with my best friend, and some Gumby's. I may not eat dinner until really late though.

Continued prayers for VT. Chancellor Deaton taught there for 11 years, so all of this especially hits hard around here. I just hope the media sensationalism with those videos dies down really quickly. To me, that's disrespectful to the victims and their families.

On the opposite side of the spectrum.....it's WONDERFUL to know that the Afghan children have such a huge desire to go to school. That really is something that the media never talks about, and they SHOULD. It would make their stories about Afghanistan a lot more realistic instead of all the bombings and hostages.

And more talk about that totally awesome, redheaded teacher that visited there last week couldn't hurt either. :)

So Sanjaya is finally gone. It was definitely his time to go, but I have to say that as bad as most of his performances were, I found that I did have a bit of a soft spot for him. Watching him cry after his "funeral video" I did feel really bad for him. He's a nice kid and defintely one of the most memorable contestants from this year. But I do think he'll be a much better singer in about 5-10 years. The male voice matures much slower than the female voice. That's another reason why Jordin totally steamrolls over him.

OK, that's enough stream of consciousness for now.

Until next time...
