Ok. I've been working fast food drive-thrus for most of the last 20 years, and I have a couple of beefs...

Why do people order a hamburger plain...with nothing on it? Is that not the definition of plain?

On the flip side, why do people ask for a hamburger plain...with ketchup(or whatever) only? If it has ketchup on it...IT ISN'T PLAIN!!

Why do half of my customers order a combo...then assume I know what they want to drink?

Why do people order a drink or fries, or something like that, and then not tell me the size?

Why do people stop TWO FEET from my window to get their money out? Why do they not go ahead and pull up?

I work a drive-thru that has two windows. I give them their total, and ask them to pull TO THE FIRST WINDOW. WHY is it that, just because I am not standing RIGHT THERE, those words suddenly lose all meaning?

Sometimes, I think I could do an entire stand up routine on my job.

If any of you have ever done any of these things, could you please explain them to me?? B/c, I am truly stumped. Twenty years, and I still can't figure it out....

On a happier note, I am VERY excited about the press release for the JBT! And, I had a feeling the TV Guide article would have something in it about a relationship. Not the main thing I wanted to know, and I didn't know what it would be, but I still had a feeling...
