It's one of those days--a day when I'm feeling I need to think.

I got a job offer that I wasn't seeking. It sounds good with plenty of room to grow but I'm uncertain what would happen in the future. It's always a little bit scary to prove myself at first. To show how good a worker I am. Would I measure up to what they thought? Would I like the job after a year?

What about my current employer? The current job can go, it's too stressful, but the company has been great to me.

As far as money and benefits, I can ask for what's fair to me so there'll be no loss there if I switch jobs.

Should I suffer the current job out of respect? Or should I take the new job and see what happens?

Is there any reason left nowadays for staying loyal? Or should I move on, get a fresh start?

It seems harder making a decision now that I'm getting older. Five years ago, I probably would have just taken the job without too much ado. Now, I need one of those days--a day to think.
