BYE BYE

12/22/07

12/24: This morning I played a CD with my favorite songs from MCWL and AIW CD's and some live performances from Clay, while we were cooking Christmas Eve dinner. My mom, you know, the impossible to clayvert one... she LOVED it EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

She actually originally likes Christmas music much more than myself so I kindda figured it would be the best clayversion weapon. I just had to wait for the right day.

AND LATER, ON THE RADIO WAS THIS WOMAN SINGING HYAMLC.... HORRIBLY! My mom said: Thank God we heard that beautiful version earlier! She ruined it!

BTW, I'm bringing this old friend back to remind me...

BYE BYE, WONDERFUL TOUR!

Now I can officially say it:

I HAVE LOVED EVERY BIT OF IT!!!

Clay, thank you for another one.

This will be one to remember.

Be safe in Mexico.

I love you more and more each day.

Once again, you have outdone yourself.

BRILLIANT!

Thank you, Sue, for making me feel a little bit closer.

12/23: I still can't figure out what I'm feeling. So many emotions might make my heart explode. Just as Joan said, this feels bittersweet. I feel so wildly sad because this magnificent tour is over. But, at the same time, I can't help feeling glowingly thrilled that this magnificent tour took place.

As I read last night on a board, don't be sad that it's over, be glad that it happened.

I guess nostalgic is how I feel. Yes, already. I'm missing this tour already.

It was everything I could ever hoped for. It was apparently everything Clay expected. Some thought Clay would never manage to stay classy throughout so many shows. But he did. Elegance was never missing, and every new element added made this tour unique and so different from the other Joyful Noise Tours we've had, and every special touch, every original arrangement, every glory note made this whole tour:

UNFORGETTABLE

So here go some of my favorite from the last date of the UJNT-CITH (meaning Unforgettable Joyful Noise Tour - Christmas In The Heartland).

hand-mike action

Ah can't help thudding over the hand-mike action.

TC

AWWWW, Team Clay up on stage right before DSIAFCD.

ohbabythatsafact

Oh, baby, that's a faaaact.

bangs

Pre-intermission.

no bangs

Post-intermission.

I can't believe you lucky folks at Merrillville got both bangs AND no bangs!

Thanks to SlowandEasy, toni7babe and fivegoldens for the breathtaking photographs. Talented gals!

Let's not forget the incredible amount of talent this tour has displayed in front of our eyes... and ears... well, actually this was the kind of show that wakes all your senses and gives you goose bumps for two entire hours.

We can't leave all the fantastic orchestras that got to play on stage with our man. They never cease to amaze me and they are a big part of the reason why I now enjoy Christmas music, which I never had before (the biggest part, of course, is that Clay sings it hehe).

Everyone backstage on TC that make this possible.

Mary, main reason all tours happen.

Jamie, what would we do without her? Big thank yous for making Clay's hair look gorgeous every night!

Fern, for bringing us what I believe is the most important factor in the show: the sound.

Jason, new in the family. I already love you, dude. The lighting was awesome. I think this one's a keeper. I hope we'll be seeing a lot more of him in the future.

And so many other people that probably work on this to make it perfect and we don't even know of. Thank you!

EDIT: Margaret very wisely reminded me of someone very important. Faye, thank you for raising Clay to be the wonderful person he is. Thank you for sharing your baby boy with us. He is a miracle!

On stage now.

Quiana and Angela, I can't seem to think of them separately. They're both such an important part of every show. Boy how we missed Angie that one night! You are as fundamental as OMC to me and I know it's because of you being there that our boyfriend can go on and on for two hours straight. So THANK YOU! You are so talented and truly amazing.

Sean, what can I say? I'm so glad we ended up keeping this guy. He's so sweet and so good, might I add. I'm a drums freak and I pay ridiculous attention to the drums during songs. Man, he can play 'em! And I loved hearing his mom's story. That was so cool. Good one, Clay! ;)

Our own Jesse Vargas. I believe we all feel so close to him by now. He means something to us now and we got to deeply care about him. But all the cheesiness apart, this is one gifted man. I have to say I have loved the arrangements for this show like nothing in my life. Christmas music had never sounded so beautiful before. He fascinates me. I am a huge fan of Jesse, I gotta say.

And last, but most definitely not least, the person who makes it all worth it. The one that is reason enough for hundreds of people to travel miles, to drive on the ice, to fly in snow storms. The one that makes us scream in lust when saying "Oh, baby, that's a fact", makes us laugh when he smirks at the beginning of My Grown Up Christmas List on his Birthday, the one who makes us weep along with him during heartfelt Oh Holy Night, the one who makes the hair on our arms stick up at the end of All Is Well.

The boy with the big voice, the man with the big heart, the geek with the funny smile, the stud with the sexy lipbite.

I love you, Clay, and I don't regret all those late nights one bit. This tour was definitely worth it. YOU are definitely worth it.

And I NEED to mention the other people, not backstage, but off stage, who made the marvelous experience that this tour meant possible for so many of us.

To the generous certers and the unstoppable clack gatherers:

THANK YOU, THANK YOU,

THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

If it weren't for you, this tour might as well have not existed for me. You rock! And I believe you are as part of TC as anyone else there.

I love you all!

Thank you also to those who shared with me in chat, who appreciated the red reports and made those late nights not only endurable, but fun. And thanks to the others bringing the red reports and letting me rest every once in a while.

Clay,

HAVE YOURSELF

A MERRY LITTLE

 CHRISTMAS</font>

Don't cry no more!

See you all next tour!

(That's SpamALot, right? LOL)

Clay, man, please blog. I need to know you got there safe and sound!

Lots of Clove

YAMI
