Can I say one more time... I LOVE THIS MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

12/28/07

12/31:

YAY! I donated to UNICEF! I hope it helps! OMG we're at 99% already!!! :D Go donate!

Tonight we'll be at grandma's. 23 people! It's going to be soooooooooooooo toastyyyyyyyyyy!!! Just stopping by to wish everyone a happy new year. Since I will be catching a bus tomorrow night, I don't have the time for a full New Year entry. So I'll do it like this. I promise I'll blog from the beach. Just don't expect all the pretty colors and stuff!

¡FELIZ AÑO NUEVO!

12/30: Today I helped my grandma make some food for tomorrow night. It was fun and exhausting and too damn hot!!! It's going to be soooooooooo toasty tomorrow and on Tuesday! GRRRR

Anyways, I guess it will be fun as always.

Today, we also had to change our clocks. Yep, now Argentina is 3 hours ahead of EST (it used to be only 1 before you guys changed your time 1 hour back). We change it forward because it's Summer. It's supposed to last until March... I hate this energy saving thing! They stole one full hour of sleep from me last night! And this will mean even latER nights in the chatroom. AGHHHHHHHH

¡Me estabas matando de angustia! ¿Tanto te costaba escribir más seguido? ¡Dijiste "tomorrow"! TOMORROW!!!

Anyways, I'm glad you finally wrote again. I have to say I am so happy that it is Mexico this time and not some extremely dangerous country. An Argentinian nurse and a Spanish medic working with "Doctors Without Borders" have been kidnapped in Somalia and are still being kept prisoners, only being fed water. I worry so much when you travel, Clay!

Thanks for blogging. I noticed you didn't update your fieldnotes... I wonder why. Maybe we are super special to you??? :P

You know, Clay, if United suffers severe finantial losses they're holding YOU responsible, I'm sure. Because God knows if you tell the Claymates "don't fly United", we will not fly United. And God knows if the Claymates stop buying something, it will affect the economy greatly.

BUT, I am so proud of you for helping the way you do. That story of the little boy running to hug you was the sweetest ever. UNICEF is very powerful indeed. You'd be amazed by the amount of money they raise every year in my country.

I wish you a prosperous New Year as well.

Just 2 questions:

What are you doing New Year's Eve?

And, why didn't you sing that beautiful song this tour?

Not that I'm complaining. God knows I loved it.

Back to helping, don't you think it feels almost too good? I got my package from Compassion International today containing the information about the child I'm sponsoring and his family. And it feels so great that I almost feel guilty. It seems I'm getting more out of it than he will. His name is Josue. He is a 6-year-old boy from Burkina Faso and his family lives in great poverty. Here is a picture of him.

Josue

Isn't he the cutest thing ever? I fell for him already.

Even though I don't share the religious beliefs of the organization, I am very happy to be helping a kid this way. Being a teacher and a Clay Aiken fan have definitely waken something within me: the love for children and the desire to help the ones in need.

Thank you, Clay for being such a wonderful inspiration to me and so many others.

I am also very excited because on January 2nd at 0:30 I will be heading to my grandparents' apartment at the beach with my friends! (my grandparents don't live there, they own the place). We'll be spending 10 days in Mar Del Plata. Lord, I haven't been there since last year's Summer Holidays! The city is in Buenos Aires (I mean Buenos Aires, the province, not Capital city). It's about a 5-hour drive. It's known as "La Feliz", which means "The Happy" and it has the most amazing night life in the world! :D :P ;)

Here you can see a couple of pictures of the city:

I can't wait!

And today I got a new bathing suit. It's been a super exciting day for me LOL

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

¡FELIZ AÑO NUEVO

PARA TODOS!

Lots of Clove
