Okay, I like to think I am just enthusiastic, and NOT crazy. I CAN and DO enjoy other singers. AND I don't need Clay to tell me what to read. I had already read the Kite Runner when I was gently nudged to do so, and have already made my own recommendations for reading material. : )
BUT, I ran across this quote in my reading tonight, and found it happy and, well, okay, just found it happy.
I know heaps and bunches of people here may not find a synergy in a quote about the Trinity, but this is my blog and this is coming from my background viewpoint.
So....this quote is from a writing from a 13th century monk. Meister Eckhart... to wit....
"When God laughs at the soul and the soul laughs back at God, the persons of the Trinity are begotten. When the Father laughs at the Son and the Son laughs back at the Father, that laughter gives pleasure, that pleasure gives joy, that joy gives love, and that love is the Holy Spirit."
I just found this a very resonate definition of the Trinity.
And to lighten up the viewpoint, and to veer into blasphemy. : )
World without end... Amen.
Sometimes I find more profundity on the Clayboards then I do in church on Sunday morning. And sometimes I find more profundity in the roll of toilet paper hanging on the wall. Sometimes it just ain't worth the paper it's written on. Just saying.
