Blog Entry

Okay

05/13/06

Okay, I decided today to take a break from the boards. A healthy choice, as it were.

I read a book, grocery shopped, sat in the warm outside air and the sunshine, all kinda whatnot. I'm not SMART enuff dang it, to set up a real blog. So I continue to spill here.

I was amused to see the Family Channel play the movie Ever After as one of their Mom's Day Marathon choices. HAHAHAHA. Like Cinderella has ANYTHING to do with being a mom. pfffttt.

Yet, it got me thinking. So maybe they are not quite so stoopid. Or I should shut.it. It is often thought that I should shut.it.

Anyway, my one kernel of thought. I finished the book I started yesterday. And was profoundly touched. Read it if you get the chance. Entitled Father Joe. By Tony Hendra.

Then I watched Ever After. A Cinderella story, with an amusing twist, sorta kinda. I am SUCH a friggin sucker for the cinderella story. The Princess Bride, Pretty Woman, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, Legally Blonde, Mean Girls, etc. etc. I am nothing if not shallow.

Yet, I refuse to believe that fairy tales don't serve a purpose.

Gruesome is as gruesome does. And laughter is as laughter does. And not often the twain shall meet. Yet, when it does? Isn't it all the more funny?

Sorta like when you get spam for a pickle slicer in your email box? And you are sooo totally focused on getting something else inserted in your box? Karma, she sucks, eh?

I am going to Vegas this week. I'm gonna roll the dice, NOT. I already found my jackpot. So therefore, I shall sit by the pool and sip lovely frothy umbrella drinks, and fixate on the pool boy. : )

Who said getting old had to be getting dead?

I hope and concentrate on learning a new joy every day. And subliminate the sewers we have been involuntarily dipping our toes in? That is just blowing out the pipes. Which one must do every once in a while for optimal performance. : )

So, cheers Claynation. Let the good times roll, and the Rotorooter man not be late. : )
