A Busy Time

Hope everyone has been doing well! I’ve been quite busy this fall season with computer work, a family visit, and real life. I feel like I’ve been in a whirlwind. LOL

It was great to see my family. We had a fun-filled day eating out and shopping. All together counting Ron and me, there were 12 of us. Mom did pretty well using her walker, and Caroline had to be in the middle of all the action.

The trees are changing colors and look so pretty. The falling leaves are beginning to cover the lawn, but there’s still not enough to rake, just yet.

Anyway, I wasn’t online when the Gala was being held and missed out on the cellcerts and all of the excitement going on at the boards, so I’ve been in the catch-up mode for the last week. I joined in on the celebration late but as they say, “Better late than never!” LOL

I’m very happy everything went so well at the Gala, and it was a success. Congratulations to the NIP for winning the Christie Cookie contest! That sure was icing on the cake. Clay loves and cares for his foundation and puts his whole heart into it. Last but not least, it was a special treat hearing him sing.

I noticed at Clay Aiken the Ideal Idol there is the Trick or Treat for the National Inclusion Project ($50,000 America’s Giving Challenge) taking place on October 30 and 31. The Claynation will pull together once again to hopefully help provide another camp for the kids. Wouldn’t that be wonderful?! Thanks to everyone’s ongoing dedication, hard work, and donations, there will be many happy children.

QUOTES….

“To value his own good opinion, a child has to feel that he is a worthwhile person. He has to have confidence in himself as an individual.”

Sidonie Gruenberg

“Children will not remember you for the material things you provided but for the feeling that you cherished them.”

Richard L. Evans

"When I approach a child, he inspires in me two sentiments; tenderness for what he is, and respect for what he may become."

Louis Pasteur

"There are no seven wonders of the world in the eyes of a child. There are seven million."

Walt Streightiff

"While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about."

Angela Schwindt

Speaking of children, Halloween is right around the corner. We always have a lot of kids, but since it’s on a Saturday night, we’re expecting even more. Love seeing the children in their neat and creative costumes, especially the young ones. They’re just too cute. It will be a busy but fun night.

FIVE LITTLE PUMPKINS

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate,

The first one said, "Oh my, it's getting late."

The second one said, "But we don't care."

The third one said, "I see kids everywhere."

The fourth one said, "Let's run, and run, and run."

The fifth one said, "Get ready for some fun."

Then whoosh went the wind, And out went the lights,

And five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!

Hope all of you have a fun and safe Halloween, and don’t let the goblins get you!

I appreciate all who visit and your most kind and heartwarming comments!
