Hello! Hope you’re doing well and enjoying your summer. It’s going by fast. It just seems like school was out and now the new school year will begin soon. The kids here will be returning on August 18th. Parents are busy shopping for clothes and school supplies for their children as the teachers are preparing their classrooms.

I’ve been spring/summer cleaning off and on since the beginning of summer, between visits to see Mom. She’s been working hard in therapy and is scheduled to be released from rehab next week. I just talked with her yesterday, and she’s been playing Bingo and has enjoyed the singing groups that come to the rehab center to entertain the patients.

Caroline, our “fur kid” is tolerating her heart medication well, and we’ve noticed an improvement in her breathing rate, though she does have coughing spells, at times. Her blood work was fine when she had her wellness exam recently. So far so good! Sending out another huge thanks to all you for your thoughts and prayers for both Mom and her.

Ron is keeping busy managing the electronics department at Wal-Mart. He also locally travels to people’s homes and hooks their TVs and VCRs up for them.

We celebrated our anniversary last Thursday. Fortunately, Ron just happened to have the day off, which made the day extra special. We went out and later had dinner at Red Lobster.

My cousin and his wife came to visit last week, too. It was great seeing them. They were on vacation, and on their way home, they stopped to visit family members. It’s been ages since we last saw them, so it was nice catching up on all that’s been going on in each other’s lives.

I think TBAF’s new name, "The National Inclusion Project" is wonderful. I wish the organization continued success and all the best as they help children with special needs and provide opportunities for them to participate in activities with other kids.

Also, how exciting it was to hear the news about Clay signing a record deal with Universal Music's Decca Records and new music is expected the first half of next year! Woohoo! I was so happy when Ashes told me about it, since I wasn’t online when the news was posted. Thanks again, Ashes! I’m really looking forward to hearing more details as they become available.

A big congratulations goes out to Clay! Looks like the Clay train will be gearing up to take off once again in the following months. Can’t wait to go on the next ride with the rest of you!
