Another Clayversion??

Hope everyone is doing fine and had a very nice holiday! The weather this Memorial Day Weekend was beautiful in Virginia. Ron and I had a wonderful visit with my family, and it was so nice to see everyone, since we haven’t been home in awhile.

Here’s a little story I would like to share with you. One of my sisters has always been an AI fan. I discuss Clay with her whenever I get the chance and have even showed concert videos of him. She said he should have won AI2 and always liked hearing him sing songs from AI2 and his hits like Invisible, Solitaire, and This is the Night but never seemed to express a lot of interest in buying Clay’s albums. The more rocking out kind of singers like Daughtry is her kind of music, though she also enjoys other genres of music, too.

Well, last week I was talking with her on the phone and believe it or not, she actually started a conversation about AI2 Rewind and told me she was recording all of the shows. She then made the comment that she loved Clay’s voice, and how he didn’t sound like any other singers, and she really liked that about him. The first thing that came to my mind was another Clayversion is in the works!

So, that was the perfect opportunity for me to tell her that he recently released a new CD and I had an extra one to give her. My sister then mentioned that she has been meaning to buy his music but never got around to it. I told her that I also had a copy of ATDW I would be happy to give her.

You can imagine how ecstatic I was and couldn’t wait to give her the CDs! It was so cute when I handed them to her and her husband said, “What are those?” She smiled and told him they were CDs of Clay Aiken, and he just looked at her and smiled right back.

I think my sister is going to be extremely impressed when she hears Clay sing on these albums. Now, I’m going to gift her with a copy of MOAM.

I'm really looking forward to hearing what she thinks about them. My husband has become a Clay fan, and here’s to hoping there will be another Clayversion with my sister, too! One at a time! One at a time!

BTW, I sure hope Clay takes all the time he needs to feel rested and refreshed. He’s been working very hard this past year between concerts, Spamalot, and recording his CD, along with raising funds for TBAF and Unicef, he hasn’t time to himself. Clay gives a lot to his fans and to these charities. Where does he get the energy?! Clay must be exhausted and deserves a break so much. In the meantime, we have lots of clack to enjoy.
