Blog Entry

singing, living, laughing, loving

02/22/06

So, I haven't blogged in almost a month, but today's my mommy's birthday, so I thought I'd actually blog to keep my mind from wandering...yeah right. lol. Anyways, I think with this blog, I want to talk about certain things I've heard and continue on with what I think. After all, this is my blog. :) So, there was a lot of talk after the tabloid thing and V-Day last week about unconditional love and I just want to give my little input. I believe it is one the best gifts from God that we, as humans, have the ability to love another person unconditionally. Most parent-child relationships are that way and I've been fortunate to receive that unconditional love from many people. I don't know about a lot of other people, and maybe I'm a bit naive about this, but I am and always have been the type of person to love everyone unconditionally and trust them the same way unless they do something to not deserve my trust. And maybe that's a good thing, maybe it's a bad thing. But, due to my childhood of being teased about everything relentlessly by other kids and my constant exposure to church, I'd decided that it takes a lot less energy to love someone than to hate them. So, when thinking about Clay, I've never hated him and don't think I have the capacity in my heart to do so. He hasn't done anything to make me love him any less...only more. Another thing...I think I saw the creepiest picture of an imitation Clay ever today. Apparently, there's this dude in Canada who makes Clay dolls, and I admire him for wanting to do so, but I'm truly sorry to say that Clay looks like a Chucky doll. I have been terrified by Chucky since I was a small child and I've had the hots for Clay for a little over 2 years...it'll be 3 years in late May, June, but I don't want my image of Clay to be messed with a conflicting image of Chucky. Clay does not = serial killing doll. Okay, now for other things going on in my otherwise interesting life. 1.) I get to perform in Chicago this Sunday with my choir. Yea!!! Once in a lifetime opportunity!!! My college was chosen to perform in Orchestra Hall with a director that was supposedly flown in from Poland. Very cool. 2.) It snowed here in Wisconsin last week and I've been slipping and falling on the ice ever since then. I think I bruised my tailbone today on the way to class. :( 3.) I am living! Yea!!! lol. I just found out that my friend's wedding is in July and if she decides that she doesn't want one of her bridesmaids in her wedding (long story there), I'm the alternate. So, I might get to be in a wedding this summer! Woohoo! But, I might have an issue with it depending on how this all works out. Ask me personally if you wanna know.

Well, I'm gonna do some other stuff, like write and then go to choir to sing in Polish...maybe...I don't remember...oh, wait, we're singing our song that we're performing with the Symphony Orchestra in sectionals today. Either way, I'm not opposed to standing. :)
   Lots of love and hugs,
             Angie B.
