Or maybe "Nirvana"!! Clay is coming to Vancouver to be a part of David Foster's Celebrity Gala in support of his foundation. He is scheduled to be a celebrity judge on Saturday, the 9th of Sept. and a performer at the posh BlackTie Gala on the 10th.

Be still my heart. After much angsting and searching, begging favours - giving up on "connections" which I thought I had, and getting down to the serious business of slogging detective work and directly contacting the foundation - I'VE GOT TICKETS TO BOTH!!

Oh my God!! What to wear! What to do if there is eye contact?? Will he be at the cocktail party? Will he be wearing a tux?? Will I survive the sensual stimulation of two nights of Clay? Will I notice anyone else on stage? Will he sing Without You? Will he sing "Lonely No More"

Who cares???? I'm in the building and I am stoked!!!

Edited to add my conversation with my buddy who is attending the above weekend festivities with me:

So, my concert buddy came over this morning and we walked into the Village together - talking along the way about how much fun the DF weekend was going to be. ............................ I finally threw caution to the wind and told her that there might be a wee bit of a surprise and she asked "What's that?"

gulp" Well, you know I told you that I belong to the Fan Club, just in order to get pre-sale tickets?" "Yeeeeeeeeeess" she say, "And?" she adds..........

Says me "Welllllll, you see, after I got these tickets, I felt it only fair to let others know about their availability because, you see, if it wasn't for the fan club, I wouldn't know about half the things going on that I want to know............... so I mentioned on the message board about the Gala and that tickets were available ----"

Now with saucer-sized eyeballs staring at me, she says "AND?????

"Wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll, there might be a few really avid Clayfans joining us at the concert - we're kind of all sitting together" because when they called for tickets, the girl asked if they knew me and she said she'd put us all together"

Needless to say, my friend said amoungst great hysterical laughter - "AND THEY'RE ALL GOING TO JUMP UP AND SCREAM WHEN HE COMES OUT ON STAGE???????""

"Well, yeah - pretty much"

We talked more after that.

You have no idea how long I've kept this part of my life a secret - and you still cannot call me "Canuck" that night or you are sooooooooooooooooooooo dead!!!!
