Ticket Stress!!!
03/21/07Oh Lord and Taylor! Who knew ticket stress could be so entertaining! Hee!
This is my first foray into the wonderfully nervous-breakdown inducing morass that makes up trying to find "good" seats for a Clay Aiken pop concert.
The only other such concert of Clay's I've had the pleasure of attending was way back near the turn of the century for the IT in Seattle. Not being on any boards at the time, I thought you clicked on Ticketmaster at 10am the day the tickets went on sale to the public!
What a neophyte (clueless) I was! No wonder Clay looked like a teeny tiny boytoy far off in the distance. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how all those people got seats in front of me in a matter of seconds! Duh!
Now, I'm becoming a pro! Backroom deals, gang culture, extra tickets - about the only thing I haven't done yet is go to one of those evil brokers sites, not that it won't happen if all else fails.
I have so far this week had emotions ranging from serenity, thinking that we wait for pre-sales, to all-out freaking panic when reading of others getting tickets through some nefarious means such as buying season memberships - then trying to get in on the action. On one site, they didn't have a selection that included British Columbia as an address option so my tickets, which I don't know if I'm even getting may be mailed to some non-existent street in California! hahahaha!!!!
The list of emotions couldn't be complete though without the addition of the wonderful blurb from Team Clay this evening telling me that they are going to be having a pre/post ticket sale of incredible seats AFTER all the other seats have been offered to the public!! Almost fell off the couch as I LMAO!!! Couldn't be a more perfect ending to this wonderful world of the "Quest for front-row-centre for AN EVENING WITH CLAY AIKEN"!!!
I wouldn't miss this for the world!
Seeing Clay "LIVE"???
Priceless!
eta: Oh joy!! The Pala tickets go on sale tomorrow but the good tickets are available three days later. Ah- the joy!!
