Musings and Memories ....

Since Clay is probably busy getting his new home finished and preparing for the the release of his sophomore CD - and we his loyal fans are doing our best to 'talk amongst ourselves' without figuratively killing ourselves - it seemed like a good time for some musing and memory...

The First Time

I saw him standing there - in his striped shirt and dark slacks singing 'At This Moment' - I have a soft spot for that song - loved Billy Vera's version - but hearing that voice for the first time singing a favorite song well, I was enchanted. Then I was mesmerized... by a voice so full and powerful, rich and full of emotion; by his eyes - kind of sleepy and sensuous and he looked right at me! I think I might have been holding my breath as I watched him and listened to this beautiful amazing voice. And I loved his tall lanky frame - there wasn't one thing about him I didn't like - he made my heart sigh - At that Moment my love affair began with Clay Aiken. I'm not certain I even knew it then but something stirred inside me, awakened that night. My journey with Clay and his fans has been nothing less than astounding.

Since the First Time my memories have multiplied and I sometimes wonder what my life might have been like if I hadn't - at that moment - heard this young man sing. I like to think I would have found him anyway - if not that moment then some other moment - because I was meant to know Clay - to hear his voice - to be a willing witness to his journey that has brought me so much joy and entertainment, new friends and wonderful memories.
