The Jukebox Tour

Wow. What a tour de force that was! Clay was simply stunning - his range and versatility are amazing and oh so entertaining. Clay does Elvis? Oh MY! Clay does Ricky Martin? Living La Vita Loca was a revelation! Give me Clay anytime.

There was worry and angst and speculation and then there was that first night. That first night the fans must have been frenzied! He wore what? He plays the piano? Dances on the piano? Leg kicks? Noooooo. How can we stand it! I listen to the Jukebox tour often. I love Clay's banter, the impromptu 'stump the band', his ability to draw me in, make me feel special and always always entertain me.

One of the best moments for me is when he sang I Can't Make You Love Me! A showcase for his voice - for his kind of 'vocal styling'. I feel it in my whole body when Clay sings this song. I feel the longing, the hurt, the resignation and the love.

And I miss him. Oh Lord do I miss him. I miss his smile and snark and love and song and sexy. I miss him so much today it hurt - funny what set it off though. The banner at CV! Yup - the picture in the middle - his lips - his infamous 'shell pink' lips. Just caught my eye because in the photo he isn't smiling - he has a very serious look actually - one he probably saves for private moments. Private moments when he's thinking what he would like to do with those 'shell pink' lips of his... well then I started missing him...
