Movies, Movies, Movies
03/06/06So Clay blogged again. Poor guy really had it rough there at the end of his vacation. I don't even know if you can call it a vacation if you spend most of it ill. Maybe he and Kristy can have a "do-over" at his next break in the schedule.
Can't say I've been sick on vacation before (knock on wood) and hopefully won't be.
So the Oscars are now in the books. I think this may be the first time I have not seen any of the nominated films; not for lack of interest, just lack of time. Now I will have to go and buy "Crash", when it's available, so I can see the winner. I can also see myself renting the others as well. I love movies, just wish I had time to see them all.
More often then not I go to most movies by myself cuz it ends up being at the last minute. It doesn't help that my hubby and I have very different taste in films and actually he HATES going to the movies. Recently we went to see that last Harrison Ford movie together and that may have been the first one in years. He really wanted to see it so I said why not. As you can see it made a big impression on me cuz I can't even remember the name of it, lol. It wasn't very good, but it was nice to actually see a movie together. He's actually expressed interest in seeing another movie, I think it's called Failure to Launch (?) with SJP and Matthew McConnehey (sp?)and I believe Terry Bradshaw is in it too. I think that Terry is the reason he wants to see it; I can give it a try.... especially if Matthew takes his shirt off a few times, lol
Back to Oscars... the good, the bad and the ugly!!
What was Charlize thinking about when she put that dress on. That may be worse than any bridesmaid dress I have ever seen. I think the bow was bigger than she was. The cameras couldn't even get a shot of her half the time cuz she was hiding behind the bow.
JLo's dress was very nice; loved the color; and an 18 inch waist; YIKES that's just unbeleivable. Salma's dress was stunning and Keira's was as well and what an incredible necklace. Big question... what was with all the flesh colored dresses. They all blended in with their skin and they looked naked. I have no doubt they were beautiful dresses I just couldn't actually see where they ended and their skin started. Beige can be very nice as long as you don't get lost in it. They were all more "invisible" than Ben Stiller was trying to be on stage. Speaking of the ceremony I thought John Stewart was pretty good; started out slow and picked up as he went along. It may be one of the shortest Oscar ceremonies I have ever seen, but it was generally pretty boring. They have got to lose the montages; they are filler and they are not good filler.
Well back to work I go; Tiger Cubs coming in to videotape a Public Service Announcement on Bike Safety; should be fun.
