Yesterday I had a wonderful opportunity.. I got to volunteer at a camp in Hobart, Indiana that is funded by the Bubel-Aiken Foundation. It was a wonderful experience for all of us who got a chance to work with these great kids. We helped them put together wonderful memory books filled with pictures to remember their great camp experience. Hopefully they will do this same activity next year and I'll be first in line to volunteer again. I just couldn't stop smiling yesterday. I think that our lives are full of wonderful opportunties to make a difference every day. We just need to take them.. grab them. Some are bigger than others and could be as simple as talking to the kid next store who needs help with that skate ramp he's trying to build. He will always remember that time you helped him... small yes, but it's still important; especially to him. My husband did just this and that "kid" who's now in his early 20's was always reminding him about the great ramp he helped him build. I've always considered Clay's fans to be one of the most generous group of people and not just monetarily, but with their time and desire to help others. Clay has informed us of a new opportunity to help UNICEF and I know that this group will again rise to the occasion. What a wonderful opportunity to make a differece. Have a great day all!!
