Brett's Homecoming!

10/02/05

I know that so many of you already know, but it's still an exciting time for all of our family. My younger brother, Brett, returned home from his first military tour of duty in Iraq this past week. His Marine unit returned to Camp Lejeune with no injuries or losses of life at all after over 6 months in the Middle East. Praise God!

Brett's never been much of a talker, so getting much out of him about his time there is sorta tough. None of us cares though. He's home and safe. That's all that matters. Thanks so much to all of you for your prayers and support for him over this past several months. Regardless of political leanings or beliefs, please continue your prayers for, and support of, those men and women overseas serving our nation.

Me, on the other hand! I've never had a problem talking!

So many of you "nosed" your way through my old house in Chatsworth when it was for sale a few months back. And, so many of you were interested in the artwork on the wall. Here's another link for you... www.aprilstreet.com

April Street is not only an amazing artist, but a wonderfully delightful person. I have never really been an "art person", but I was introduced to her stuff by the wife of a person I work with. I was so impressed by her work that I got in touch with her. Her work in my house in LA got plenty of attention and drew numerous compliments. It's really GREAT! It's all in storage now for it's impending move to Raleigh, but you can see more of April's work.. NEW work... at her upcoming exhibition. April will be showing and telling (and selling) her newest series of paintings at The Arts Company in Nashville, TN on October 15th. Like I said. She is one of the most delightful people you could hope to meet, and one of the most talented as well. Check her out online, and if you are around the Nashville area check her work out at The Arts Company over the next several months. Ciao for now!
